Dr. Ganesan Vaidyanathan received his B.Sc. (1973) and M.Sc. (1975) in Chemistry from the University of Calicut, India.  He received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Ky in 1987.  After a 2 year stint as a postdoctoral at the college of Pharmacy at the University of Kentucky, he joined Duke University Medical Center as a Research Associate in June 1989 where he rose to his current position of Professor (Track V) in 2005. For the past 27 years, Dr. Vaidyanathan has been involved in the development of radiopharmaceuticals especially for oncological applications.  He has 98 peer-reviewed full-length papers, seven book chapters, and over 100 scientific abstracts to his credit.  He is the recipient of several grants from NIH and is a co-investigator in a number of others.  He regularly reviews grants for a number of agencies as well as manuscripts for many high impact journals.
