Dr. Raisa N. Krasikova is a Head of Radiochemistry Lab of the N.P. Bechtereva Institute of the Human Brain of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IHB RAS), Saint-Petersburg (Russia) and the docent in the Department of Radiochemistry, St.-Petersburg State University.

She obtained her M.Sc. in Inorganic Chemistry from Leningrad State University in 1973 and her Ph.D. in Radiochemistry from the same University in 1987. Following three years position of the University assistant lecturer, in 1989 Dr. Krasikova joined the newly created radiochemistry team of the Institute of Human Brain*), the first PET facilities in Russia. She started as a senior scientist while in 2000 she hold the position of the head of radiochemistry lab of the same Institute. Dr. Krasikova’ current research is focused on development of new synthetic methods for radiopharmaceuticals for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) including asymmetric synthesis of 18F-fluorinated amino acids and direct nucleophilic synthesis methods for 18F-fluorinated receptors radioligands; she is well recognized specialist in development of rapid, reliable and fully automated synthesis approaches for different clinically useful 11C- and 18F-labelled radiotracers.Since 2012, the name of the Institute is: N.P.Bechtereva Institute of Human Brain Russian Academy of Sciences.

Development of new synthetic methods for Radiopharmaceuticals for Positron Emission Tomography; basic radiochemistry and nuclear chemistry; synthesis of 11C and 18F-labelled amino acids for PET; automated synthetic procedures; hot atoms chemistry; recoil reactions of 13N in proton irradiated water containing various additives. Current research is focused on development of new asymmetric synthesis of 18F-fluorinated amino acids; direct nucleophilic synthesis methods for 18F-fluorinated receptors radioligands; development of rapid, reliable and fully automated synthesis approaches for different clinically useful 11C- and 18F-labelled radiotracers.
